Its 9th August 2005....Happy Birthday Singapore!
My mum insist that the whole family gathers to watch NDP fireworks.....from the outside. None of us got tix to actually be in the Padang although we all submitted the requests...Sigh! This the the 2nd time we are trying to get the tix and we failed yet again...so in front of Westin Stamford we stood...along with all the other peeps who were in the same boat with us.
But it was fun...standing outside...clapping...whistling...everytime a contingent marched past us...They have to march past us before going into or leaving the Padang. So we actually got to see them. It was cool.

Once mum is satisfied, we headed down to Redhill for dinner....we wanted to eat in Pizza Hut but we settled for KFC instead. It was a fun nite out with the family, after so so long we managed to go out together at last. If only my parents are not so bz.....we could spend more family time together like in the old days. No point fretting...so now every small gathering we have means a lot to each and every one of us! Including mak nenek!
